Homenavarrow Cleaning Tips & Advice

Remove Salt Stains from Carpeting

If you live in a cold climate, chances are pretty good you have managed to stain your carpeting in your house or in your vehicle with salt. But how to get it out? We have an inexpensive cleaning method to get your carpet looking new again.

Take a clean spray bottle and mix 1 cup white vinegar with 1 cup warm water (double it if your spray bottle will hold it).

Next, saturate the area with the solution. Then take a clean towel (not your best ones!) and press it over the carpeting, drawing the liquid up. Repeat until stain is gone.

Allow to air dry and your carpet will look like new again!
