3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup rolled oats
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1-12/ tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

In a 1 quart jarm layer all ingredients in the order shown. Be sure to pack down with each layer, otherwise you may run out of room before you fit all the ingredients in. Seal jar with lid and add instructions.

Cowboy Oatmeal Cookies

1 jar Cowboy Oatmeal Cookie Mix
3/4 cup butter/margarine, softened
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350F. In a large bowl, cream together the butter/margarine and vanilla, then cream in eggs. Add contents of Cowboy Oatmeal Cookie Mix jar and mix thoroughly (you will probably have to get in there with your hands!) Drop dough in heaping tablespoon size balls. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until baked. Remove from oven, allow to cool on wire racks, and enjoy!
