Maui Wowee Cookies in a Jar Mix

1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup flaked coconut
2/3 cup chopped macadamia nuts
2/3 cups chopped dates
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder

Combine flour with baking soda and baking powder. Then in a 1 quart size jar, layer ingredients in the order above, with the flour mixture last. Be sure to press down each layer or you might run out of room in the jar. Seal jar with lid and add instructions.

Maui Wowee Cookies

1 jar Maui Wowee Cookie Mix
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350F. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, mixing well until thoroughly blended. Rolling dough into walnut sized balls, place balls 2" apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Press cookie down slightly with tines of a fork (can do criss cross pattern if desired, just don't press them down too much!). Bake for 11-13 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on wire racks.
