Oatmeal Cookies in a Jar

3 cups rolled oats
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

In a 1 quart canning jar, layer the ingredients as follows:

1-1/2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
Entire mix of sugar, baking soda and cinnamon
Mix of 1/2c brown sugar and 1-1/2 cups rolled oats
Gift tag or label instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Use non-stick cookie sheet, or grease a regular cookie sheet.

In a large bowl, beat 1-1/4 cups of butter, 1 egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla together until well mixed. Slowly stir in the contents of the oatmeal cookies in a jar mix. Drop cookies by rounded tablespoons full 2 inches apart onto cookie sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until done. Cool on cookie sheets for 1 minute then remove from sheets.
