Ideas for Homemade Cat Toys

If you go to the pet store, they are filled with cat toys that cost a fortune. Make your own cat toys instead with these great ideas, all which are either free or nearly free to make! Let's get crafting for your cat...

Foam Bits
Cats love foam. Head to your local foam shop and ask for a couple scraps of foam - they would be throwing them away anyway, and are happy to donate them to your cat!

Golf Balls
If you live near a golf course, pick up stray golf balls for your cat. They roll great on lino, and your cat will love chasing them.

Yarn
Take some extra yarn and braid it. Attach it to a chopstick and you have your very own homemade toy!

Here are some great ideas to get your started, or add some new ideas in our Homemade Cat Toy Ideas? thread in our forums!
